Pop Tiki - Whānau

Bringing together all of the colours of this print collection made me think of my upbringing and my whānau. Raised by my Mum alongside my Sisters, following the passing of our Dad - this print represents the mauri (energy) and interactions that we all bring to a whānau.

Whānau can mean different things for different people and it is the same with this body of work. Often these colours may not be seen as complimentary on their own - but when you bring them together they create an energetic and strong story to tell. 

When I look at this print I get a strong sense of whānau. How do these colours together make you feel?
